Coming back to his old position, former chief minister Prafulla Kumar Mahanta appealed estrange former president Brindaban Goswami to work together for the party to defeat congress in 2011 assembly election. While taking over his new charge as leader of opposition, Prafulla Kumar Mahanta has made a significant statement appealing former president Brindaban Goswami to come forward to work together for party. Meanwhile, Mahanta also said that despite limited period as a leader of opposition yet he will try to raise as many as issues to corner ruling party before the assembly election. It can be mentioned that Mahanta is likely to get only a single session before the tenure is over. On the otherhand Mahanta warned party worker and other members against complacency and appealed to work in grassroot to rout congress. It can be mentioned after a tumultuous situation Mahanta’s name finally got approved in the legislative party as a leader of opposition on Saturday. However, the formality of procedure is yet to be observed in assembly for the new leader of opposition. Now party legislative will have to notify assembly for the new leader of opposition.
