24 people injured in bus accident in Kokrajhar

24 people including 21 students and 3 guardians were injured in a school bus incident at Adabari of Kokrajhar district today.
The school bus belonging to 7 AP Bn based at Choraikhola in Kokrajhar was carrying the students from various institutions in Kokrajhar when it hit a roadside waiting shed at Adabari while approaching a wooden bridge injuring the passengers inside the bus. Sources said that the driver was trying to avoid a bike approaching from the opposite direction before it hit the waiting shed. The injured were rushed to Kokrajhar Rupnath Brahma Civil Hospital. However there was no serious injured found.

This is second such incident in Kokrajhar involving school students in 10 day time. On September 29 last over 40 persons, including 35 students were injured in a bus incident at Patgaon area of the district.
