Hagrama Mahilary demands Peace Talk with NDFB

The Chief of BTAD, Hagrama Mahilary urges for the jailed NDFB leaders including Ranjan Daimary should be treated like the ULFA leaders and released in bail as in case of Ulfa leaders to create a conducive atmosphere for peace talk. He said, ‘For creating conducive for peace talk, the NDFB leaders including Ranjan Daimary should be released from jail as done with the ULFA leaders. No talk can be done with the leaders in jail. We believe same treatment should be melted out with the NDFB.’
He also demanded expedition of peace process with the pro-talk NDFB and start the peace process with the anti-talk NDFB who have expressed willing for peace negotiation within the framework of Indian Constitution. Mahilary said the Bodo National Conference (BNC) will discuss the issue on the peace talk during and to decide on its future course of action for unity and peace among Bodos, on December 20 next in Guwahati. Mahilary stated the issue on the peace talk with the NDFB will be discussed seriously in the meeting of the BNC.
