Rhino killed in Orang National Park

A forty years old female rhino has been killed by poachers in Orang National Park on January 10 at 1.45 am. The horn of the animal was mercilessly cut away by the poaches. According to SK Daila, DFO, Orang National Park the incident occured in between camp no 1 and camp no Half, when the forest guards had returned to the office at 1 am.He further said that only a single shot was fired to kill the rhino. Rhino poaching has taken place in the National Park after a gap of one year. Wildlife lovers have urged the government immediately to review the present anti poaching policy of the government.
