Akhil Gogoi attacked in Nalbari

RTI activist and Team Anna member Akhil Gogoi has been attacked and critically injured by Youth Congress activists in Nalbari district today.

Akhil Gogoi, who went to village Punni in Dharmapur constituency of Nalbari district to take stock of the flood situation, was allegedly attacked with sticks and other sharp weapons by the youth Congress activists. Akhil Gogoi, the Secretary General of Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS), received head injuries and he was admitted to the Nalbari Civil Hospital under critical situation.

Later, Gogoi lodged an FIR at the Nalbari police station alleging that the attack was carried out by some Youth Congress activists.
