Congress election office burnt down at Udalguri

The Congress election campaign in Udalguri district has suffered a set back with the burning down of its election office at the heart of the Udalguri town.According to sources the incident occurred at 7.30 PM on March 15.The congress office has been turned into ashes in a few minutes.The incident has created sensation in the district in view of the ensuing assembly election to be held on April 11,2011.DC and SP of Udalguri rushed to the spot after the fire was extinguished.When contacted both the Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police of Udalguri told this correspondent that electric short circuit was the causes of the fire.The investigation is on to find out the actual cause.
