Mani Kumar Subba produced before Chief Judicial Magistrate

Mani Kumar Subba, the former Congress MP and MLA from Tezpur and lottery king was  produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate’s court on July 1st for falsely submitting documents relating his birth place and date to wrongfully obtain an Indian passport.

Mentionable that the seasoned politician was recently also accused of rape and he is also fighting a case in the Supreme Court. The Guwahati High Court has also raised serious concerns about his origin and it has become  clear that Subba had illegally obtained documents relating to his date and place of birth place, which he used to get himself an Indian passport. He was produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate on Friday to seek bail after the CBI had filed a case against him suspecting his citizenship.
