Karnataka Election Results 2023 : Congress is set to form government with 135-138 MLAs

As the Karnataka Election Results 2023 counting going on, the Indian National Congress (INC) is all set to form new government with an absolute majority with 135 to 138 winning candidates.

As per the current trends, The INC is set to push the majority figure of 113. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is seeing a significant loss with leads in just 63 seats.

Congress leader Siddaramaiah, who served as the Chief Minister of Karnataka from 2013 to 2018 said “Karnataka Election Result Live: People of Karnataka were fed up with the BJP government. It’s a clear mandate.”

Commenting on the result, Chattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel said “Karnataka election result is as per our expectations. PM sought votes by keeping himself in the front. So, this is Modi’s defeat.”

The state Congress chief D.K. Shivakumar(Doddalahalli Kempegowda Shivakumar) is likely to be selected as the new Chief Minister of the state.
