ULFA leader Arpan Saikia alias Pradan Saikia arrested

ULFA leader Arpan Saikia, who hailed the charge of the Member of Publicity Wing of United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) Lt Anu Burhagohain, has been arrested with one Tapan Das of MASS(Manav Adhikar Sangram Samiti) here in Guwahati today,- a late night report confirms Times of Assam. Saikia and Das has been arrested by joint operation team of City Police and Army near Guwahati College of Bamunimaidam area, while the duo arrived at the place for receiving an amount of extortion. It should be mentioned that Arpan Saikia, who originates from Sivasagar district and the real name as Keshab Mahanta, is known as famous writer Pradan Saikia. Mr  Saikia is known as a column writer, who writes in a popular Assamese daily with the name as Pradan Saikia and also wrote several books.
