Pride of Assam to become Assam’s Pride

Pride of Assam is an NGO ready to be floated in Assam as a platform where concerned citizens can gather to share and exchange ideas to maintain and sustain the heritage, legacy, culture and the beauty of Assam and the beautification along with the cleanliness of the cities, towns and villages.

The executive members of the NGO include Reemi Dutta Baruah as the President, Vijay Kumar Dewan, Senior Advocate cum writer as working president and Mona Shah Parikh have been unanimously elected to lead the organisation along with a host of others constituting the Executive Committee. The society Pride of Assam has been duly registered under the societies registration Act of 1860.

Industrial and Economic development, sustaining the natural resources of Assam, preservation of forests and its natural beauty, maintaining record of history and legends of Assam in different fields of Arts, Culture, Music, Cinematography, TV, Literature, Education and sports along with a cumulative effort to beautification, cleanliness and development of each city or town or villages in Assam are on the agenda of Pride of Assam.

Additionally the NGO might co-ordinate with other NGO’s, Societies and Trust’s either comprising of Assamese community in Assam or working for the interest of the Assamese community in Assam, the upliftment and use of Assamese language and finally to work in coordination with central and state governments and the schemes formulated and floated for the welfare and development of the state of Assam and its people.

Pride of Assam has been a long cherished dream on the verge of becoming a reality through the efforts of a section of like-minded persons who would like to take Assam to new heights and create an everlasting stamp on the world population of a richer, cleaner and more beautiful Assam.
