Husband kills his Wife at Diphu

One Archana Das, a resident of Panbari area of Diphu was drowned to death when her husband, Mana Das on 29th June morning when he pushed her to an overflowing river near their house while she went to take her morning bath.

Sources reveal to timesofassam that even after year of marriage Archana Das was unable to conceive and this led to repeated clash between the husband and wife, both verbal and physical and Archana Das was beaten daily by her husband. High under the influence of alcohol, Mana Das lost all his senses and pushed his wife to the river while she went to take bath. Local residents later recovered the lifeless body of Archana Das. Police has arrested Mana Das and further investigation is on.
