Man chopped into 3 bagful of Pieces by lover’s husband!
Bah, Bah a black Sheep, Have you any Wool? Yes merry have I, Three Bags full…
Charitra Haloi would have sung this nursery poem quite differently given a chance when he was interrogated by police after they arrested him and his wife for murdering the lover of his wife, Lankeshwar Talukdar aged 37 in Banekuchi village of Nalbari district.
As per the reports, Talukdar was missing since 2nd September night and was claimed to have sent an sms that evening to his nephew that he was eloping away with his illicit lover, Pramila Haloi to Sivasagar. However when the news of this sms reached the local villagers and neighbors, they got suspicious as Pramila was well available in her own house, living with her husband Charitra Haloi. Yesterday evening, a group of people returning after watching a theatre at Banekuchi, visited the Halois and checked their mobile phones out of suspicion. And there was the catch – the sms which was sent by Talukdar on 2nd September was found in the sent items of Pramila’s’ cell phone. The villagers immediately alarmed the Police and the couple was arrested and taken away for interrogation. After rapid rounds of interrogation, Charitra Haloi admitted to have killed Lankeshwar Talukdar and agreed to show the body next morning. Next morning, as the police dug the area where Haloi reportedly had buried the dead body, they were astonished to find not a body, but different pieces of Taulkdar’s body, well chopped and packed in three different bags!
The incident has raised fear and sensation in the area. Locals have also brought into picture the fact that the eldest of the Haloi sons, Dhruvajyoti Haloi had been accused in different robbery accuses in the past and has been missing too. People are now questioning if this barbaric act was committed by a single person, or by a gang – who might still be roaming free.
In the meantime, after Police left from the village with the body parts of Talukdar, the village people burnt the house of Charitra Haloi, this afternoon.
After recovering the pieces of the body of Lankeshwar Talukdar, police sent the pieces to Gauhati Medical College Hospital for advance post mortem including forensic test, for furthure investigation.
