BJP – on Thursday, January 15, 2015 – inducted Kiran Bedi amid strong sign that it could project the former lady IPS officer as its CM candidate in coming Delhi assembly election battle against former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
The former IPS officer, seems a breadth for BJP to fill the leadership gap. Going by political mathematics of BJP – Kiran Bedi is likely to go head to head with Arvind Kejriwal.
Kiran Bedi, who was inducted after a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and amid claps from her admirers who had gathered at the party headquarters, seemed confident of her anointment. As she highlighted her 40 years experience as a civil servant as well as the work for poor children by her trusts, the former comrade of Kejriwal emphasized her leadership credentials by saying that “she knows how to work and how to get work done”.
Addressing the media, Kiran Bedi said, “I joined BJP due to the inspirational leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Delhi needs a strong, clear headed and stable government. We have to make it capital number one in the world,” she said.
She also said, “I have 40 years of experience in administration serving in Delhi, Mizoram, Punjab and elsewhere in the country, and will now use that 40 years of experience entirely for Delhi.”
After joining BJP – the 65 years old Kiran Bedi has made an election campaign tweet immediately.

Bedi’s former comrade in “India Against Corruption Movement, former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal emphasized her leadership credentials via twitter.

Criticising Kiran Bedi’s BJP joining – Indian cricketer Ravindra Jadeja tweeted an old picture of 1999 where Kiran Bedi was shaking hands with Narendra Modi in Chandigarh Airport.

Mentionable that the former IPS officer Bedi always claimed that she will never join politics. In the video shared by IBNLive channel – it is seen that Kiran Bedi was claiming about her no-politics life. Till 2013 – Kiran Bedi used to grab attention of netizens by her criticising remarks against Narendra Modi. On March 16, 2013 – Kiran Bedi tweeted about Modi’s connection with infamous Gujarat masscre.

She also slammed AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal – but always praising Narendra Modi & BJP before the Lok Sabha 2014 polls. On January 01, 2015 – Bedi praised Modi government by expressing her stand with BJP – while BJP seems a total failure on their every promises made before Lok Sabha 2014 polls.
