The decade long border dispute between Assam and Nagaland may soon be solved. The panel appointed by the Supreme Court to solve the border dispute between the two neighboring states has submitted its reports yesterday, September 13.
The panel co-mediating this long pending dispute comprised of senior advocates of Madras High Court and Gujarat High Courts Sriram Panchu and Niranjan Bhatt respectively. They submitted their findings to Court of Chief Justice of India, Justice S H Kapadia in a sealed cover.
The Supreme Court is now expected to take a decision on the border dispute, also taking into recommendations and opinions of the two concerned states.
The Supreme Court had in August, 2010 appointed the two mediators to find ways to resolve the boundary dispute.
