Former Meghalaya CM, LS Speaker P A Sangma dies of Heart attack

Former Meghalaya Chief Minister, MP, Lok Sabha Speaker P A Sangma died of a heart attack at his Delhi residence on Friday, 04, 2015.

He was 68 years old at the time of death.

Purno Agitok Sangma – known as P A Sangma – was born on September 01, 1947. He was a graduate of St Anthony’s College(Shillong), Master of International Relations(Dibrugarh University) & a Law degree holder.

P A Sangma was Chief Minister of Meghalaya for the period of February 06, 1988 to March 25, 1990. He was the 11th Lok Sabha Speaker for the period of May 25, 1996 to March 23, 1998.

P A Changma – a Lok Sabha MP for 8 times – was also co-founder of NCP(Nationalist Congress Party) along with Sharad Pawar.
