October 30th blast observed in Kokrajhar

The Kokrajhar resident observed the 30th October to mark the serial blasts that killed 20 peoples and injured over 60 in three blasts in Kokrajhar. In the programme organized by Kokrajhar Youth Club in collaboration with Kokrajhar Merchant Association at the main market one of the site of the blast people for all walk of life paid homage to the blast victims who lost their lives.


BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary announced Rupees 10,000 to each victimize families those who were lost their life in October 30 blast in four districts including Kokrajhar, Guwahati, Barpeta and Bongaigaon from the Bodoland Peoples Front(BPF) party for five years. He also urge extremist organizations to come forward for peaceful negotiation for ever lasting solution for the greater interest of the state and nation as whole.

Mentionable that the three blasts took place in Kokrajhar town including main bazar, fish bazar and near railway crossing at Vivekananda road on October 30 in 2008 along with other three districts of Lower Assam includes Guwahati, Barpeta and Bongaigaon.
