The United Liberation Front of Asom(ULFA) has appealed to Indian Railway to stop anti-Assamese activity in Assam. In a fresh press release sent to Times of Assam by Joy Asom, member of Central Publicity Wing of the outfit, said that the outfit had observed the notice issued by Indian Railway to close the Assamese Lower Primary School located in Hijuguri of Tinsukia.
“We have considered this act of Indian Railway as an attack against Assamese language. If Indian Railway closes this Assamese school ignoring the protest of local and concerned people, the Hindi and English schools under Indian Railway running at Tinsukia will have to suffer its cost,” the outfit said.
Warning Indian Railway, ULFA also said that they wouldn’t let Railway Department to close the Assamese schools to run schools of Colonial languages. The outfit also said that Indian Railway would be responsible for any kind of occurrence if they don’t give up their evil intentions.
