Editorial Director of IndiaTV resigns in protest against paid Interview of Modi

Senior journalist and Editorial Director at IndiaTV, Qamar Waheed Naqvi resigned from his position, as a protest against a paid & fixed interview of Narendra Modi’s interview telecasted a few days back on the channel.

Naqvi sent his resignation in form of email to the management on Sunday night.

Naqvi said “I have put in papers, rest will be disclosed later.” He resigned so as to protest against the interview that he termed as fixed.

The Editor in Chief of IndiaTV, Rajat Sharma conducted the interview in his popular program “AAP Ki Adalat” where Modi was asked only soft questions and only Modi supporters were present as audience on the show. There were no questions asked to Narendra Modi, which were always been a controversy of Modi and Gujarat Govt. Even a large section of the crowd was seen chanting pro-Modi slogans at regular intervals.

Naqvi was working as a news director in the channel for a long time.
