In a grenade attack at Adliwal village of Amritsar, 3 people are killed and at least 20 people are injured.
The attackers came on a bike and threw a grenade at the people gathered for a religious meet in Nirankari Bhavan of Rajasansi area of the city.
Eyewitnesses said that two men came on a bike and forcibly entered the Bhavan. After entering the premise, they raised pistols in a threatening manner and then thrown a grenade at the crowd gathered in the spiritual meet.
The injured were rushed to hospitals, while three already died.
Punjab police immediately launched an operation in suspected hideouts to track the attackers.
Condemning the terror attack Chief Minister of Punjab Captain Amarinder Singh announced Rs 5 lakh as compensation to the kin of the dead and complete free treatment for the injured people.

Chief Minister Amarinder Singh suspected involvement of Khalistani or Kashmiri terrorists backed by ISI.
The National Investigation Agency(NIA) also reached the site of the incident.
Home Minister of India Rajnath Singh condemned the attack and asserted a possible strong action against this incident.
