Huge arms recovered in Chirang

SSB and police recovered huge amount of arms & ammunition at Balajar, near Gwajwnpuri village in Indo-Bhutan border on 28th October last under Basugaon police station in Chirang district from NDFB militants. But, SSB submitted the huge arms yesterday night after interrogation.

SSB submitted GPS one, 102, 7.62mm live ammunition, 10 round empty bullets of AK-47, 100 meter wire, 5 mobile, 4 Solar light, 6 solar charger, 11 pairs combat dress, 12 blankets, 5 petrol bomb, rupees 2 lakh 12 thousand five hundred, Demands notes, Money receipt, some batteries, 11 umbrellas, 4 Khukri, 7 SIM cards, Driving License etc.

Basugaon police station Mr. M. Rahman said that the NDFB fired upon the SSB Jawans when they are patrolling inside the Manas Jungle for their daily routine check-up. In the mean time SSB also fired them but the militants manage to escape in the deep jungle and their success to recovered that huge amount of arms and ammunition from the militants.
