Dr. Subramanian Swamy, whose efforts had led to the exposure of the million dollar 2G scam, is now all set for the battle against Home Minister (then Finance minister) P Chidambaram. Producing documents in the Supreme Court which showed that Chidambaram was involved in deciding the second generation (2G) spectrum pricing, Dr. Swamy brought the next big name of the centre to the scene. Dr. Swamy presented the documents before the apex court bench of Justice GS Singhvi and Justice AK Ganguly and requested a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into Chidambaram’s alleged role in deciding the price of 2G spectrum allocation.
Opposition Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) was quick to react, demanding an immediate resignation of the home minister. However Congress defended by saying that the BJP was “jumping to conclusion” and objected the plea by Dr. Swamy into the matter.
On the other hand, the CBI seemed to be unhappy about Dr. Swamy’s request to Supreme Court. Appearing for CBI, advocate K K Venugopal argued that if the Supreme Court entertained Dr. Subramanian Swamy’s plea for probe into then finance minister P Chidambaram’s alleged role in the 2G spectrum pricing row, it would seriously undermine the premier investigating agency’s autonomy and that Venugopal said SC’s role has come to an end as far as the conspiracy angle in the 2G was concerned since the trial has commenced. However, the hearing bench reminded the CBI that its probe into the 2G scam gathered pace only after petitions by the Centre for PILs and Swamy were filed in the Supreme Court.
Mentionable that on August 18th, Dr. Swamy had declared that he would be soon going to file a case in the Supreme Court against Congress supremo Sonia Gandhi, seeking permission to prosecute her under the Prevention of Corruption Act. Dr. Swamy had made several allegations against Sonia Gandhi, including the claim that 60% of the 2G scam loot went to her two sisters. He had alleged that Sonia Gandhi has benefited from Bofors, she has benefited from Iraq food for oil deal, she has been the recipient of the payoffs from the Russian KGB and that she has been maintaining secret bank accounts abroad. He had also reminded that the Delhi High Court had earlier issued a notice to the CBI regarding the Bofors scam and that the spokesman of the successor organization of the KGB (FSI) had agreed to have given money to the Gandhi family because the whole family was friendly to them.
Bravo Dr Swamy for his contribution to save India alone.
These corrupt CONGRESS (Corrupted Overall Nehru GandhiKhanIndira Rajiv’s Empowered Sonia’s Swiss) vote/bank, BJP (Boka Jokers Party), CPM (Corrupted Party of Mankind), DMK( D*g …), BSP(Bahut subidhabadi party), etc. have been ruining India since the day of independence.
The seed of corruptions was implanted by Mr Nehru and it is now maximum after 64 years. Kashmir problem was the creation of Mr Nehru due to his sort-sighted-vision. Why Shyama Prasad Mukherjee was killed? It was a terrorist plot by Mr Nehru. Where the money of “Azad Hind Fauj” had gone?. It was transferred to the Swiss Bank by Mr Nehru as far my knowledge goes through one renowned Japanese Professor told me in 1984. God had/will gave/give punishment in this type of foolish activities. Why the books on “Nehru” are banned in India?
Young and educated people (not like Raul or Varun Khans) should come forward for the next election to modernize India. I have forecasted the name of the party as “People Party of India (PPI)”. Please forward this comment to Anna Hazare. We can see the development of all the states reigning by bachelor CM like Narendra Modi, Nitish Kumar and recently joined Mamata Banerjee. We want bachelor political leaders.
This is the ample opportunity to make a new party (PPI) with the young and corrupt-free minded people of India and to contest in the political system. Also the Election Commission should adopt some guidelines for the next election. The main points are:
There should be compulsory voting system and the Right to Vote (RTV) mechanism. If a person is unwilling to vote, he should be hefty fined.
There should be a minimum qualification (Graduate) and age limit (say 65 yrs old) just like other profession to contest for becoming an MLA/MP, etc.
A person can not be elected for more than THREE times in his/her lifetime.
All the criminals and goondas should be out of any positions of MLA/MP, etc.
One party can’t support to other party after election. It is meaningless to make a government at the centre by getting support from other minority party/parties (This makes corruption, bribery, etc). The voting mechanism should be changed.
I was surprised to analyze the motivation of the political leaders to loot the public money. There was main contest by the CONGRESS and CPM in WB. However, CPM supported CONGRESS at the centre to make a government. IS IT A DEMOCRACY? IT makes fool to the general public and do loot the public money in both the state and central govt/sectors.
I absolutely agree that no mla or mp should be allowed to contest election more then 3 or four times in his life time, minimum age bar for the parliamnetarian should be 35 and maximam 70. similarly suitable age bar should be there for mla, and locoal bodies.
PM should gentile, not contest more then two terms.
