Confusion over AJYCP’s 48hrs ONGC Bandh Call

The 48-hour ONGC bandh is going on with mixed reactions in Sivasagar and Nazira. The bandh is called by the Sivasagar unit of the Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) in protest against the dirthing stand of ONGC Assam Asset and the comments made by one of its high-ranking officials on AJYCP. AJYCP president Dibyajyoti Das and secretary Paldip Neog, in a press release, stated that joint-secretary of central unit Biswajit Tipomia, joint-secretary of district unit Debojit Dutta and Arup Rajkonwar including themselves had been criticized and resembled as a “rebellious group” for their approach on behalf of the small-section contractors by ONGC Assam Asset ED AM Dr PSV Rao.
