New Mega project for Education Development in NE

A new project to foster IECT training and education in the North Eastern region has been approved by the Union Government of India with a total budget outlay of Rs 388.68 crore.

Named as Development of North Eastern Region by enhancing Training and Education Capacity in the Information, Electronics and Communication Technologies (IECT) area, the project would focus on enhancing capacity in terms of training/education in IECT sector for the youth of North Eastern region.

The project will be implemented by the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), which is an autonomous society under the Department of Electronics and Information Technology
