Assam HSLC 2012 results out – Nalbari leads

The results of High School Leaving Certificate Examination (HSLC) for the 10th standard students conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) have been declared today, ending the long wait of the results as this was delayed this year.

A total of 2,78,704 students have appeared in this examination. Out of them 1,94,067 candidates have passed this examination with the total pass percentage being 69.63%. A total of 99,974 boys have passed the examination, while 94,093 girls have passed the examination.

Out of the 1,94,067 passed candidates 26,203 candidate have successfully secured 1st division, 68,180 have secured 2nd division, while 99,684 have passed in the 3rd division.

Gyandip Sarma of Sankardev Sishu Vidya Niketan, Bokakhat, Bhaswati Deka of St Maries, Maligaon and Stuti Khuand of Sankardev Sishu Vidya Niketan, Biswanath Chariali have topped the HSLC examination by securing 94.83% marks (569 marks out of 600).

Two candidates, Sahinur Rahman of Bijni Bandhab High School and Parijat Priyadarshani of St Joseph Convent, Tezpur, secured 2nd position in the examination. Priyanka Bezbaruah of Udayan Santi Niketan, Bejera secured 3rd position.

Meanwhile in Assam High Madrassa Examination a total of 7,931 candidates appeared, out of which a total of 5,475 candidates have passed the examination. The pass percentage is 69.30%. 230 candidates secured 1st division, 2,172 have secured 2nd division while 3,073 has passed in the 3rd division.
