Ex-Security Personnel of ULFA C-in-C Paresh Baruah arrested

One ULFA militant of the Paresh Baruah led hardliner faction has been arrested by Police at night of July 04, 2011 from Pulunga under Chabua Police Station of Dibrugarh district. The arrested ULFA militant is Palash Hazarika alias Paban Hazarika and he hails from Betmala village under Chabua Police Station. Hazarika was appointed as the security personal of ULFA C-in-C Paresh Baruah at Bangladesh. Police recovered One AK-56 assault rifle with 23 live bullets and 6 grenades from Palash Hazarika.

The same source revealed that another hardcore militant Gajen Konwar alias Samudra Nirmalia of the ULFA hardliner faction is now under custody of Indian army at Arunachal.
