ULFA hardliner group warns Oil Company to leave Assam

ULFA hardliner group led by Brigadiar Paresh Baruah, warns oil company Shivani Oil and Gas Exploration Services Pvt Ltd to leave Assam within 45 days starting from today.  In a fresh press release sent & signed by Lt(!) Arunodoy Dohotiya, the Commandant of Central Publicity Wing, the outfit said that the Shivani Oil & Gas Exploration Pvt Ltd is exploiting natural resources of Assam. It is also stated in the press release that the company is ignoring any liabilities for the locality and people of the land. ‘In spite of maintaining any liabilities to the locality the company is ignoring all kinds of demand and protest of various organizations and people, which indicate the vandalism of the company. Hence we protest their activity to rob the natural resource of Assam and warn them to leave the state within 45 days from today‘- the outfit also states.

Mentionable that the Paresh Baruah fraction hasn’t agreed yet for the lateral talk with Government of India and continuing their organizational activity in their coverage area.

    Will they stay to their word or ignore it after taking a huge sum from the the oil company? What the history of ULFA suggest practically to us?
