Tarun Gogoi blurts out Unpalatable Truths
Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi is hitting on the underbelly of Muslims with a hard punch suggests that he does have few strands of grey matter left under his skull where he did put a kufe. I hope that the CNN IBN interview is shown across the globe in various TV channels so that a debate on his remark snow balls and become a huge force to overcome the political correctness which is shielding the Muslims and global Islam in a self assured invincibility.
CM Gogoi is likely to be under pressure to make amends to his comments on Muslim illiteracy and having large families. He may even be forced to apologise.
But, he should stand his ground. Although his comments may have been in respect of Muslims in Assam viz the illegal Bangladeshi migrants, this is true across the board. Even in the western countries where Muslims have gone to settle, despite getting it mostly free, very few Muslims do well in their education.
Why is it so? From my point of view, because Muslims wanting to be prisoners of a 7th century ideation. Their belief in the Islamic constitution, the Sharia, can be so total that there is no place for rationality. The Sharia is based on the Quran. And the Quran is said to be absolute, without fault and eternal. With such a narrative can there be alternative arguments which might make more sense?
Let us just knock on few doors.
EDUCATION AND LITTERACY
1 Islam demands Classic Arabic which is not an easy language even for people of Arabia. [“We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur’an so you people may understand” ( Quranic Verse12:2) ]
2 .The Quran provides total knowledge [“…We have not neglected anything in this Book…” (Quranic Verse6:38) “…And We have revealed the Book to you explaining clearly everything.” (Quranic Verse16:89)]
3. The Islamic God does not leave any room to question HIM [With Him are the keys of the Unseen. None but He knows them. And He knows what is in the land and the sea. Not a leaf falls but with His Knowledge, not a grain amid the darkness of the earth, nothing of wet or dry but (it is noted) in a Manifest Book. (Quranic Verse 6.59)]
(“…We have not neglected anything in this Book” [(Quranic Verse 6:38)])
4. The Quran issues threat against questioning [ “O believers! Do not ask questions about things that if revealed to you, may cause you trouble. But if you ask a question about something when the Qur’an is being revealed, it will be made known to you. Allah has forgiven you what you did to date, Allah is Forgiving, Forbearing.( Quranic Verse 5:101)]
The above quotes I believe are sufficient (there are many more) to understand what is the nature of knowledge imparted in the religious schools called Madrassas in their millions! The bottom line of course apart from studying Islam there is nothing else to know. Anything else is HARAM!
LARGE FAMILIES ARE A RELIGIOUS DUTY
1. Encouragement to be productive [Your women are a tilt for you (to cultivate) so go to your tilt as ye will, and send (good deeds) before you for your souls, and fear Allah, and know that ye will (one day) meet Him. Give glad tidings to believers, (O Muhammad) (Quranic Verse 2:223)]
2. Multiple wives [Marry women of your choice, Two or three or four; but if ye fear that ye shall not be able to deal justly (with them), then only one, or (a captive) that your right hands possess, that will be more suitable, to prevent you from doing injustice.( Quranic Verse 4:3,)]
3. Children are Islamic God’s responsibility [ Wealth and children are the adornment of the life of this world.” (Quranic Verse 18:46) And kill not your children for fear of poverty. We shall provide for them as well as for you. Surely, the killing of them is a great sin” (Quranic Verse 17:31)]
Above verses make it absolutely clear that the infallible doctrine is behind producing many children by Muslims everywhere.
Gogoi Sir, are you man enough to stand up to the challenge that is coming your way? Study the Qur’an (Koran) man, you will have all the ammunition; UNLESS YOU ARE A FOOL.
