AASU leader, Journalist died in Road Accident

Kalyan Arandhara, Assistant General Secretary of Sivasagar district AASU and Manash Bharali, Adviser, Janji Regional unit died in a tragic road accident at Janji-Phulpanisiga 37th National Highway today.

Their bike(AS-04/H-5341) was hit by 709 minibus(AS-03/H-6827) from behind on their way from Sivasagar to home, when they fell down, another vehicle, Mahindra Verito coming from opposite direction, lost its control and hit them tumbling near the spot. Later the bus was detained by Jorhat police and arrested the driver.

After the incident, AASU boys blocked the highway for about for about 3 hours. Late Kalyan Arandhara, was a very popular youth and active social worker. He was a general secretary of Janji Hemnath Sarma College and adorned the General Secretary, Adviser of Janji regional unit of the organization. He was also a correspondent of Assamese dailies, Ajir Dainik Batori and Niyomiya Batra and founder of Janji Press Club. He was also associated with bodybuilding exercise.

Kalyanjyoti Arandhara was the youngest son of late Minadhar Arandhara of Bolomiya Gaon Janji and Manash Bharali was the eldest son of Suren Bharali of Janji-Garhkukh.
