Six person killed in bus crash in Lakhimpur

Six passengers were killed and 35 others injured in a collision between two buses on the National Highway 52 in Lakhimpur district on today morning.

The incident occured when one Arunachal Pradesh State Transport Corporation bus from Along to Silapathar collided with a private bus from Barpeta to Silapather at about 4.30 am.

The drivers of both the buses died on spot. The dead have been identified as Nanda Rajbangshi, Kemke Deka, Rajani Das, Atep Sitek and Mamin Sitek. One person is yet to be identified.
